From the prophets we gain great insight into God’s perspective on all things human. “The righteousness of man will not achieve the righteousness of God.” Repentance was the message of the prophets because true humility of heart is the only thing that can deliver a lost soul. This is why Jesus said we must become like children. The words of the prophets are designed to set us free – if we are willing to listen.
