8 GREAT EPOCHS IN THE FABRIC OF TIME COURSE
We have spent time in all 4 Gospels, getting the full picture of the teachings, miracles, and mission of Jesus the Lamb of God. He is God’s prophet (Deuteronomy 18:15). He is God’s priest (Hebrews 7:27; 9:12). He is King over the kingdoms of men (Revelation 19:16).
“Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.” – Colossians 3:1-4
Our time in the Streamsbook has provided an effective tool to help someone move from square one in their Jesus faith. Under conversations you can also find the Knowing Jesus talks on Who Jesus is and what He has done.
We then moved to Epoch 6:The Shining Light. This wrapped together the message and purpose of all four Gospels, and gave you the format for the 8 Great Epochs.
We now launch into Epoch 1/Genesis and Job. We read these books side by side because Genesis 1-11 and the book of Job are not Jewish, but are God’s commentary on the entire human race. Genesis 12-52 explains the basis of faith in God, brought to us through God’s chosen people: the Jews. They were not chosen because they were better than anyone else, but because God was revealing His redemptive God Story through one nation to all the nations of the earth – then and now.
The 8 Great Epochs stand next to the Book by Book course. As you get the big picture from the eight video explanations and the data study in the 8 Great Epochs, you will at some point wish to go even deeper in particular books and letters. These two courses provide a deep level of training in both the knowledge and the wisdom revealed in God’s Word to His world.
