S10E20 What is Kingdom Character?

Character is about letting our best shine through us toward others. But even more than that, Kingdom character is allowing Christ’s character to grow and reign in our hearts. Either good or bad character result from the nature of the spiritual fight we engage during our lifetimes.

Here is Jesus’ brother James’ umbrella for both empty as well as Kingdom character. Wisdom from above and vanity from below.

“Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing.

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” James 3:13-18

When we surpass vanity with wisdom from above, we connect with each other in supernatural ways. Choose a few of these “one another’s” to get a feel for what applied wisdom looks like in a growing life.
