Those who are brave enough – ask things like this: What is purity? What is it I need to know about purity? Why are men and women designed so differently in sex and intimacy? What belongs to me and what belongs to my partner? Why is marriage important to God? What makes love last? Why is God such a prude?
Purity is a tricky subject. Most people associate religion and devotion with either superior or shameful behavior. Or arrogance and guilt. There are several questions that can help bring focus to this very key (and out of control) aspect of human living. Is it merely about bad behavior or is there more to it? Is there a clearly defined path for living in uncomplicated purity?
First level:
Where does our sexual drive originate? It is given by God for having children and building intimacy.
Where and when did impurity invade the human race? #1 Pride and arrogance in Genesis 3. All out attack in Genesis 6.
Where does sexuality fit within human identity? Faithful, enjoyment of each other. Living honorably toward God by rejecting impurity.
Is there a difference between men and women when it comes to purity? Absolutely! Men are mostly drawn to love the act. Women are made to embrace the value identity.

What do we know for sure?
√ Marriage (one flesh) was given to us for 1) procreation and 2) pleasure and intimacy. Satan detests both. He robs, kills, and destroys.
√ Beneath all impurity is sin. Sin springs from idolatry and results in personal bondage and destruction.
√ All addiction comes from self-gratification and eventually introduces shame into our lives.
√ God inclusion is what leads to understanding of truth and to ultimate freedom in our lives.
√ Denial of self and honor are at the root of our fight for purity.
