PRAY FOR RAIN: Catalyst.city

“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

– Hebrews 4:15,16

We are encouraged to “come boldly” to the throne of grace to find mercy and help in time in need. This includes praying for things that seem too big – too massive for my prayers to even make a difference.

As we pray for “bold” things in our city – truly important things can get lost in the everyday aspects of our lives. Soon thousands of kids and teens will be going back to school. Not only do we need to pray for God’s protection upon our kids (from within and without) we need to pray for God’s revelation in our schools and classrooms. We need to pray that the schemes of the evil one would be thwarted. That Light would shine and overcome darkness. That learning would be excellent – and good for the soul as well as the mind.

Our culture is a battleground – it would make sense that our schools would be the front lines. Whether the adults involved are aware or not.
Just saying.

Won’t you pray with us the next several weeks for God to intervene in the daily work of our schools?
