There is an interesting nuance mentioned in the God Story that has much to do with ultimate meaning. It is quite clear that His sons and daughters are going to “reign with Him.”
It is a trustworthy statement from 2 Timothy 2:
For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him;
12 If we endure, we will also reign with Him;
If we deny Him, He also will deny us;
13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
A Story About a King is a book about process and destination. How can ANY man or woman find such an amazing arrival? This is why we have the words and story of the Bible. It explains the Door. It explains the key(s).
For me it is about diminishing personally while increasing His honor in my life. When I find the way of humility I can enter the Door with the provided keys and find my way into hope – both hope for this life and the one to come. Don’t sell yourself short! If you have the capacity to reign at the right hand of the One who is at the right hand of the Creator of all things, why not embrace the quest?!
I do my best to tell the story of my friendship community of relationships, and how both the bitter and the sweet have brought me into my place in A Story About A King.
