As we travel our journey we learn a lot about people – and much about ourselves. If we are fortunate enough to think bigger than merely what we can see, we may find our own personal God connection. The God Story is helpful because it deeply and honestly opens not only the rocky story of humanity, but also the Story and Substance of the Creator Who exists over all and within all.
Colossians 1.15-17
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”
Acts 17.28
“…for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’”
John 1.18
“No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.”
Here are several thought sheets which may help amplify your ideas about God. The first one is a great discussion for around the table at home or in your class.
