About 70% of us think we are above average. Do the math. Perhaps when we compare ourselves with ourselves we are using the wrong metrics. Is it possible that God sees into the value and uniqueness of every individual soul? If so, what makes a person above or below average?
I have contemplated this with those I have known who have what would be termed a disability. Does one human have value over another because of our internal or external attributes or limitations, or does our Creator have a different take?
That’s what this song, Insight, contemplates. Once again, we have two versions, one older and one newer. See if you can guess which is which. Either way, the lyrics sing the same thought. “If you could see inside of me, into the window, of my soul, would you be pleased in spite of me…?”
