Jesus As Healer

Before we enter into God’s Kingdom through Jesus (John 10) our spiritual father has been the evil one (the devil/John 8). Think what this means if true. Being born into a world at war leads us to believe lies and to make agreements which ensure we will be caught in various kinds of bondage for our souls. The nature and work of the adversary is to distract us from freedom and to serve him. Jesus, on the other hand, wants us to be free to be joined to Him in friendship as we live out our earth days – preparing us for our eternity to come.

God’s purpose for the war is to set people free from personal bondage. Why are things the way they are? So we can find Him, share in His victory, and experience His forever glory. We can be set free and healed to live in a transforming way. Our spiritual heart expands, connecting us with the Son, the Father, and the Holy Spirit.

Most counseling seeks to provide help and advice for living. While there are often benefits to this approach, it appears from the God Story that Jesus is not only our healer (the greek word sozo/He makes us whole), but He provides all we need to experience freedom through our relationship with Him, His Father, and His good Spirit. It appears we have all the ingredients we need to connect to the source of our freedom.

The Jesus as Healer approach helps you build bridges for your own freedom process. It will help you find the true satisfied mind only God can provide, and complete Jesus’ fulfillment of the freedom described in Isaiah 61:1-3 (also Luke 4:16-21). He wishes to set us free emotionally through communication and companionship with Him; physically by reinforcing our identity and value as He protects and provides for us, and spiritually by teaching us His ways and bringing comfort to our souls.

You can choose to be guided through one or more sessions demonstrating how Jesus as Healer can be understood, experienced, and carried with strength into your future. We guide – but you take yourself through the process of connection. This can set you free to expand your own authentic faith, hope, and love. We call this the two or more principle found in Matthew 18:18-20.

Here is some of what happens:

Holy Spirit, the Father, and Jesus are invited to lead you through your own freedom process.

We help you survey your life to identify the things which sabotage, control, or also lift you up.

Together we ask the Spirit to bring each of these items before the throne of grace to find God’s help.

I ask You Lord God to forgive me for my part in rejecting you and choosing self.

Forgiveness for those who have harmed or uncovered you is sought through Jesus’ Name.

We release and entrust each person to God for His work in body, soul, and spirit.

We pray with you to resist the continued work of the adversary through forgiveness (Matthew 18:21-22).

We carefully join you in asking Jesus to sever any soul ties from our father the devil or other people.

We bring God promises into any emptied place as we move on from where we have been stuck.

We set a new or expanded personal trajectory of connection with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We design and pursue a personal lifestyle which allows each day to be new.

God the Father was quite clear in Exodus 15:26: He is our Healer.

Jesus healed many times. Matthew 4:23; Matthew 9:20; Matthew 14:36; Luke 4:40; (Malachi 4:2)

Jesus wants to heal you!
