Garden to Garden

There are so many beautiful, woven threads within the world’s only truly hyper-linked book. It seems we are in a Garden to Garden experience. The garden of Eden was given for Adam and Eve to engage our part of the work of God. We will return to the Garden at the end of the age – presumably on Mount Zion (“But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel.” – Hebrews 12:22-24

Tree to Tree/Garden to Garden

Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever” — therefore the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken. So He drove the man out; and at the east of the garden of Eden He stationed the cherubim and the flaming sword which turned every direction to guard the way to the tree of life.”  – Genesis 3:22-24

“Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him; they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever.”  – Revelation 22:1-5

These are a few of the major woven threads which intersect completely with the Life and Teaching and Works of Jesus Messiah, Savior of mankind.

√    Lord over Nations (Genesis 1, Noah, Abraham in Genesis 12) and men (Job). Jesus: Revelation 19:16

Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. The Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.” But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.”  – Genesis 6:5-8

√    Burning Bush in Exodus 3:2 and Joshua 5:14-15 which appears to involve burning without being consumed.  Jesus in Luke 24:44.

√    Passover Lamb in Exodus 12 and 1 Corinthians 5:6-8. Jesus in Revelation 5:6 and John 1:29.

√    Fire and the Cloud in Exodus 13:21,22 (The Comforter/Discloser in John 14:17; John 16:14).

√    Red Sea testimony to the nations in Exodus 14:30-31 and 1 Peter 5:6

√    Manna in the wilderness for 40 years in Exodus 16:2,4 (Bread of Life)

√    Water from the rock in 1 Corinthians 10:1-6 (Jesus is Living Water)

√    Bronze serpent on the pole in Numbers  21:6-9 and John 3:14,15

Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.”  –  John 8:58

There is only one testament. Nowhere in the Word of God does He refer to two testaments. One God. One Story. One human race. One Door of the sheep (Jesus in John 10).

Looking forward to gardening with you!
