Conditions on the ground are deceptive right now. So many people and cultures believe we couldn’t be further from the days of Noah. After all – mankind is evolving upwards, correct? And the story of Noah is an ancient myth, after all. So it goes.
Today we examine Noah as a Faith Survivor with a ready heart. A survivor of his times. A survivor within his heart.
The Bible describes what mankind will experience in the “last days.” Check out 2 Timothy 3. “But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power. Avoid such men as these.” What do you think? Interesting list.
Jesus uses Noah to prepare us for the concept of “the end.” Read Luke 17:26-27. Amazing.
“And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.”
This post is all about a ready heart. A heart of faith. A true rainbow promise delivered in Christ. What a gift!
“And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.” – Hebrews 11:6,7
