Authentic: The real deal. Faithful to the original. An accurate representation or reflection.
I love photography. What better way to capture a moment and bring back a memory. True authenticity has a living quality to it. The wind in the trees, the light on the water – the smells and sounds in the air are a big deal when we want a memory to come alive. More like a living, moving picture.
Appreciation for authenticity is unique in our face-paced world. Things move so quickly we must capture moments before they are gone. So – the search for something authentic may suffer in conversation as our tech-rich lives unfold.
But meaning is not just found in what is emerging. Substance is found within the things which are authentic. This is different than merely holding to what is old-fashioned or out of date. When we identify what is authentic, depth of meaning is free to flower. When we find authentic connections – our lives and relationships and our sense of meaningful purpose – all begin to vibrate with life.
What would you consider authentic in your journey? What seems less so? What does authenticity have to do with achieving a peaceful, satisfied mind? We think you’ll like these…
