Jesus is the gold standard for displayed power upon the earth. No one – and we mean NO ONE – worked miracles like Jesus – and in front of so many witnesses! Do your own research. Choose any historical spiritual figure and do a search on the miracles attributed to him/her. Then investigate the details.
Then as now – Jesus does nothing in a corner. There were literally thousands of witnesses to His miracles. The blind. The demon possessed. The lame. The sick. The lost. The huge crowds. And it was even more breath-taking after Jesus rose from the dead. For a period of 40 days He was showing up. Check it out!
Today Burnadette and I are thinking through some of the implications of being known by such a supernatural healer. Who wouldn’t heal all of the earth’s woes if he or she could? And yet Jesus, though He healed many, left the world with so many sick yet to come. But He gave humanity present and future all of the keys to go beyond physical healing and find the peace of a forever satisfied mind.
We have provided a list of Jesus’ miracles with their documentation. We also encourage you to consider the inside part of us that longs for peace. We think you will enjoy the journey through these thoughts and passages. After all, you may be at peace, but we bet you know plenty of people who are in turmoil.
“For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve.
After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep; then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles; and last of all, as to one untimely born, He appeared to me also.” – 1 Corinthians 15:3-8
