050 BBB: Daniel & Revelation

We are immersing ourselves within the connection between the books of Daniel and Revelation. We hope you are having as much fun as we are!  This is a big deal for understanding the End of Days. The prophets tell us about it. Jesus was very specific about it. The apostles echoed and amplified the words of Jesus on the various issues about the end. It is going to happen. You can quote us on this.

There is little doubt that Daniel’s 70th week (Daniel 9) will take place at the end of known time and the launching of something new. The book of Revelation describes many particulars. Just as Daniel paints the broad picture leading up to this pinnacle event, Revelation focuses details that will make your hair stand on end (what does that mean anyway?).

Every book of the Bible – Genesis through Revelation – is helpful for us to get to know the WHO and the WHY and the WHAT the Father is accomplishing in the world. But the heart of everything is found in Jesus. Because Jesus created the world and will rule the world as well, He is THE authority on how things will look at the end of the age.

This awesome guide will allow you to look at the words of Jesus, Daniel, and the apostle John as the Holy Spirit describes the end – and our amazing new beginning. What an incredible, woven thread from the God Story. Enjoy your search!

“But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!

But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you…”  – 2 Peter 3:8-15
