Setting A Course
One beautiful vision for a family is cultivating the heart to reach out to others who need encouragement, caring, and certainly including physical needs to be met. To look beyond ourselves is a great way to train the hearts of our kids.
“This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you.” – John 15:12-14
There is a huge spectrum of what it means to set aside our own desires for the welfare of another. To experience, teach, and converse over the these things is good for the family heart. Reaching out is enhanced deeply by reaching up.
