The concept of authenticity deserves to be visited often. If we cannot find authenticity in truth, relationships, and direction for living we are in a pretty tough spot. I define authenticity as genuine. The real deal. It is the expression of God upon the earth, for if something is not authentic it will not last – however we feel about it.
Our Creator wants us to live strong – to become men and women looking for His heart. He places an incredibly high value upon our intentionality. He tries often to explain the value of our choices to be intentional in heart. He knows that if we live an authentic life, it will be a well done life. This is the essence of finding true purpose – true meaning.
This is true:
“The eyes of the LORD move throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this. Indeed, from now on you will surely have wars.” – 2 Chronicles 16.9
Our choices have significance. And if we are to live authentically, we must know God “in the Spirit”:
“Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which has not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him. For God has revealed them to us through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.” – 1 Corinthians 2:9-10
Here are four key questions to ponder concerning your own authentic faith:
AUTHENTICITY in knowledge – how can I know what is true?
AUTHENTICITY in faith – can rationalism and what is supernatural coexist?
AUTHENTICITY in life – is there true meaning to be found in a life well-lived?
AUTHENTICITY in destiny – is there such a thing as true hope?
Here’s to your authentic life, my friend!
