Long Live The Heart

It is impossible to overstate how much of what we know to be true about God revolves around heart. His heart is magnificently compassionate and long-suffering. He is generous beyond our ability to imagine such greatness of heart.

Our hearts are the part of us which defines our souls. Big heart – big soul. Thankful hearts = an impressionable soul – and so forth.

This post kicks off a consideration of 40 or so of the key characters from the Word of God. Each is important to us as we attempt to understand how to live a life pleasing to God and to experience a satisfied mind.

One of the great quests of life is to grow from the inside out. This is no different from any of these character examples in the Bible. And by the way, part from Jesus – ALL are fallibly imperfect. Which should give you hope as you read!

Our goal is to spend our lives growing from the inside-out. Sound worth the time?

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.” This is the great and foremost commandment.“The second is like it, ‘you shall love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”          – Matthew 22:36-40
