Ep11: The Streamsbook

We have enjoyed a relational dive into the four gospels. In Matthew Jesus leads us to humbly accepting His Kingship – King first, then Kingdom, then Church. Mark reveals the ultimate healing power of Jesus, over physical maladies of course, but healing us from the inside-out. Wow. The healing of Jesus is available to any who request it of their King. Luke focused on the Son of Man, who was God come in the form of humanity, coming to buy us back from death. Finally, John wraps together the connectivity that God has with Himself, and extends that Light of connecting to whoever believes in the Name of Jesus.

If you remember, we began by explaining Jesus Centric’s purpose, and how the wisdom of Jesus is the crowning jewel of the great treasure the Father has brought to the world. The gospels were written by men, but they were inspired by the Holy Spirit.

“So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”  – 2 Peter 1:19-21

We now take a look at the Streamsbook: 40 Days to Get to Know God’s Son. The Streamsbook is awesome for both a fresh read and a first read through the works and words of Jesus the Nazarene. It gives you tools to refresh and to jumpstart someone in his or her pursuit of Jesus. It is a chronological account from all four Gospels that has several characteristics:

√   It is written in paragraphs without verse markings.
√   It is presented in direct, accurate, and easy to understand words.
√   There are notes which help to set the context of each chosen story.
√   There are questions for each of the 40 days which will help you go deeper.

We present this as a tool for the future, and you can order a printed copy or find a free pdf copy here. There is also a series of teachings discussing the content of all 40 days. As we said, the Streamsbook provides great access for a fresh read, an in-depth study, or encouragement as a person tries to get their head and heart around the greatest story ever told.

Enjoy!
