What an amazing event! God has come near to find and save our lost souls. Humbling.
Peace upon your home, dear friends! “There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.”
Our warmest love,
Dave & Burney
“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.” – Ephesians 3:14-19
It is difficult to comprehend the inner and over-workings of the Story in which we find ourselves. While our Father does have our personal welfare in His heart, there are greater things unfolding. This is where we find ourselves at Christmas, and each day of our lives – right in the middle of the Story of the glory of God. What a privilege!
O holy night the stars are brightly shining (Daniel 12:3/Philippians 2:15)
“Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.”
“Do all things without grumbling or disputing so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world…”
It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth (Isaiah 9:6/Luke 2:8-14)
“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and all dominion will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.”
“Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
Long lay the world in sin and darkness dying (Matthew 4:16/Romans 3:23)
“The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great light, and those who were sitting in the land and the shadow of death, upon them a light dawned.”
“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God…”
‘Til He appeared – and the soul felt its worth (Ephesians 3:14-19)
“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.”
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices (Matthew 11:28-30)
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
For now is breaking – a new and glorious morn (Ephesians 5:13,14)
“But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
Fall on your knees (Revelation 1:17-18)
“When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of the grave.”
O hear the angel’s voices (Revelation 5:11-14)
And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.”
O night divine – O night when Christ was born – O night divine o night – O night divine (2 Peter 1:19)
“So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.”
We lift this up along with you – our Savior is the great King of everything!
May God bless your Christmas heart.
