The Power of Two

I am a mixture of introvert and extrovert. I love to meet people, ask levels of questions, and communicate at a heart level whenever possible. But, after a couple of hours engaging in a group, I am SO ready to decompress and be alone. It is good to partner within complimenting relationships. Burnadette and I have experienced the ability and the honor of working together in harmony of heart, mind, and actions. We are simply better together.

King Solomon contemplated this during his long and illustrious experience as Israel’s wise king. Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor, for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is no one to lift him up. Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.”               – Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

There is a God-mix of not walking alone in isolation from others – while at the same time enjoying our connection with God. Instead of looking at myself and others and defining as either an intro or extro, I try to pay more attention to the situations and conversations where I can bring or add something to the depth, humor, or substance.

Who would you name in your two and three-fold cords?

And check this out:

“Truly I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”

Then Peter came and said to Him, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”  – Matthew 18:18-22

It is good to not be alone.
We are with you!
