Spirituality

(Read the Curious Journey essay on page 73. Where A different take on God-following perhaps?)

Kingdom spirituality is a completely different creature than being religious. While religion can codify, organize, and draw followers in the millions; the King did all this but also set people free. He invites us to a relationship that is personal and uniquely given to each one who seeks. True spirituality will always result in freedom. A place where the soul is: at peace.

Jesus had His most major conflicts with religious leaders. They had interpreted and capitalized on truth to the disregard of the King’s spirituality. Visit the passages. Follow the woven thread. We must face this head on.

“So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”  – John 8:31,32

“God-servants likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued, or addicted to much wine or fond of greedy gain, but holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. These men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach. Women must likewise be dignified, not malicious gossips, but temperate, faithful in all things.”  – 1 Timothy 3:8-11

When our conscience is clear between ourselves, our neighbor, and especially toward God – we are experiencing spirituality. This is inseparably linked with taking God at His Word. Our devotion is not to religion but to our Creator Father through His Son Jesus!

A good spirituality song
