Growing in character is not so much so we can become better people (though this does happen), but so we can become more like Christ. Jesus mastered all things human – He already had mastered all things God!
All religion has severe limitations – including Christianity. Jesus has none. He teaches us about His Kingdom – and the true church emerges as His Kingdom grows. King first – Kingdom faith next – then His church emerges. The church is supposed to be more an organism than an organization.
This teaching ties together the WHY behind growing from the inside-out!
King of core to what Jesus came to communicate. Perhaps that’s why the Gospels mention church only a couple of times but the Kingdom repeatedly.
